BOX Releases Vector M30-M Cranks for Little Racers

ANAHEIM, CA—BOX Components, makers of high-performance BMX and mountain bike components, is excited to announce that the long-awaited mini/junior Vector M30-M cranks are now available. The Vector M30-M cranks share oversize design principals with the original Vector M35 cranks, but they are scaled down to fit the needs of 5-to-10-year old riders.

Vector M30-M cranks have a cold-forged, 30-millimeter, 7075 aluminium-alloy, Praxis M30 spindle that fits frames with European and BB86/92 bottom brackets, as well as BB30 and PF30. They have hollow-forged arms and a 104 BCD, four-bolt spider.

Each set of Vector M30-Ms includes a Praxis external, M30, European bottom bracket that fits frames with European bottom bracket shells. Compatible BB86/92 and BB30/PF30 bottom brackets are sold separately and available from Praxis directly.

An independent test lab compared a range of cranks to the Vector M35 and the Vector M30-P. Both proved to be stiffer than anything on the market, with the M35s about 10 percent stiffer. It’s safe to assume the M30-Ms are the stiffest little-kid crank out there.

“We believe the Vector cranks are the way to go for any serious BMX racer. While the M35s are the ultimate BMX race crank, the M30-Ps are stiffer than anything else out there. And the M30-Ms are far stiffer than any other crankset for mini and junior riders,” said Max Wunderlich, BOX’s BMX director.

The M30-M cranks come in matte black with laser-etched graphics in 145, 150 and 155 lengths. Suggested retail price for both is $399.

Well established J&R Bicycles who is a leader in the BMX industry is now accepting applications for several full time positions. All applicants must have BMX knowledge and prior experience in the position for which they are applying. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as an ambitious, positive attitude are essential for becoming part of the J&R Bicycles team.

WHEEL BUILDER- Responsible for building wheels from start to finish in a timely manner. This position will also provide support to the sales team in taking orders, clearly explaining and demonstrating products to customers, as well as providing advice based on customer’s needs. Extensive knowledge in rims, hubs, and wheels is required for this position as well as1 year experience in wheel building.

MECHANIC- Responsible for building complete bikes, both custom and out of a box. Will also manage repairs, part installs, tune-ups and wheel trues both in our showroom and on the road as part of the J&R Bicycles track-side crew for National Race events and Florida SSA events. This position will also provide support to the sales team in taking orders, clearly explaining and demonstrating products to customers, as well as providing advice based on customer’s needs. Extensive knowledge of bicycles and specifically BMX is required, as well as a minimum of 1 year experience as a bicycle mechanic.

SHIPPING TEAM MEMBER- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as an ambitious, positive attitude are essential for becoming part of the J&R Bicycles team. This position is responsible for all aspects of shipping customer orders. This includes retrieving orders from our shipping hub, pulling products for order fulfillment, printing shipping labels, and communicating with customers regarding their purchases. Shipping department team members must possess excellent typing and communication skills and have at least 1 year experience in outbound shipments. Experience with Worldship, Endicia, Dazzle, and/or Shipworks preferred. This position is a Monday through Friday, full time position with occasional late nights and weekends. Normal hours will be from 10:00am to 7:00pm. Hourly pay rate will be dependent on experience.

It's been quite the BMX Season already this year for Chase Bicycles.

Their French Pilot, Joris Daudet wowed the fans in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the 2015 USABMX Grand Nationals with a dominating performance, claiming his first ever U.S. AA Pro Title. Joris is off to a rockin' start in the 2016 USABMX title hunt standing atop the podium at half of the events so far with two HUGE wins at the Winter Nationals. He followed that up with two podium appearances at the Gator Nationals, racking up some great USABMX Pro Series points in the early season.

Connor has two podium appearances so far this year including a BIG win at the USA Cycling Elite Championships, crowning him the U.S.A. Cycling Elite Men's National Champion for the rest of the season!

Connor and Joris now turn their attention to the beginning rounds of the UCI BMX World Cup Season with races in Argentina, England and the Netherlands, bang, bang, bang between now and the middle of May.

At the end of May, the Chase Pro Duo head to Medellin, Colombia for the UCI BMX World Championships, which will be VERY important for grabbing a spot on their respective national teams for the Rio Olympics in August.

A BIG start to a BIG year, and Joris and Connor are ready for the battle on their Chase BMX rides. Pursuing BMX victory in the U.S. and beyond.
