imagine im going straight on my street. does it matter if i stop to the right or the left of the street?

Yahoo is universal but parking laws vary all over the world.

Generally speaking, you can only park on the same side of the road that you drive on. One way streets may be an exception.

Yes it does. You can actually be ticketed for parking facing the wrong way(whatever they call it in your area). You pull off so the passenger side is facing the curb, it is a one way street that allows parking on both sides then it won't matter.

most areas require right side parking. cross parking is illegal and you could get a ticket. one way streets may be designated different in some areas.

On two-way streets, you park on whichever side is for cars going in the direction that you are driving (in the U.S., Canada, France, etc., you park on the right; in the U.K., Japan, etc., you park on the left).

On one-way steets, the rules vary. In New York City, it alternates (one side one day, the other side the next day) to facilitate street cleaning and garbage pickup.

it doesn't matter as long as u r parked as going in and out of traffic. facing the right way is what i mean passenger side is facing the curb

You park on your right side :).
