what kinda car should i get ?

Hey , So I'm 16 years old and will be getting my first car. I need a nice spacious suv with good fuel gas .I want a range rover but I would rather put the money toward my collage . Also i want something new, luxurious, and around 20,000 -30,000 dollars .

Well, have you priced insurance ? That's going to cost you thousands per year.

So, unless your money supply goes well above your $30K limit, you should scale your plans back. And, SUVs are stupid, badly made wasteful vehicles that almost no owner of one ever uses off road, and that often have alarming tendencies to tip over. A really BAD choice for a new driver.

Buy a proper car that you can use and that won't kill the spectacularly unskilled driver that you are now. A Ford Focus hatchback would be much better, be easier to drive, would cost you lots less to insure and to buy gas for. Just because it's down to $2.50 a gallon now, doesn't mean that it's going to stay there.

With this amount you have really wide choice. How about Nissan Murano, Mazda CX-9, Buick Encore, Honda CR-V or Hyundai Santa Fe? Any of these cars is reliable and luxury enough for the teenager.

a big SUV with good gas mileage doesn't exist....and if you're a novice driver you don't want something big cause going to make it harder for you to handle and just increase your chances of hitting something (which you have a high enough risk of as it is)

Also if you get something super expensive like a land rover then it also means that insurance as well as any possible repairs will be expensive too so no matter how much money you have it doesn't make you exempt for those simple truths.

Pontiac Torrent or GMC Terrain. Luxurious and spacious. You'll love them and have money left over for college. But I must ask, why not a sports car or sedan?

Subaru Forester. If you need a larger one a more affordable, safe option would the Mitsubishi Outlander.

There is no such thing as a large SUV with decent fuel economy.

Honda CRV is about the best you can buy in your price range. They are the top rated small SUV.

10 year old Corolla. You're going to crash, so buy cheap.

(This question sounds VERY familiar)
