Pull over to the right, signal, look, turn left to opposite curb, shift to reverse, turn right to back up, then shift to Drive and go in the opposite direction.

This is done on dead end roads to turn around.

Turning the vehicle round to face the opposite direction using forward and reverse gears. It normally takes three manoeuvres hence its name.

It's now just called the turn in the road.

In a car.....you go forward in first gear....stop.....go backward, turning wheel....stop...then go forward again.....to turn yourself completely around in three goes.....when you are learning, it sometimes take five point turns!
