That really depends on if you feel your son has the skills to ride the bigger bike. If you feel that his abilities have progressed enough to ride a bigger bike, then go for it.
I think it depends on the kid. I think a 12 year old might be too young for a full-fledged motorcycle. But he's your kid and you know him better.
its more about his size wieght and height than anything if hes out grown his other one than yes but dont get him one of those apollo ones where there super high but short those flip over really easy and dont turn well because they are to high and short
