Is the "knife hole" in the sidewall of the tire? If so, sidewall tire damage can simply not be repaired. An inner tube is not an option on a tubeless tire, for it would not properly maintain shape or position and the tire would not hold balance.

You would most likely need a shop to do the mounting and installing, and I don't think a reputable shop would do a non-standard repair like that due to liability issues. They will tell you that the only way they will repair it is with a sound tire.

I have put a boot patch on the inside of the tire and cemented the cut together, I then used a radial tire inner tube without problem. Was able to wear tire out.

If the cut is on the sidewall, the tire cannot be repaired nor a tube used.If the cut is on the rolling portion of tire,it can be patched from the inside usually.A plug won't work on a cut,its designed to work for a nail hole, etc.

That wouldn't be safe.
