7th Annual Hire Park BMX Pro Am RACE REPORT

Every year at BMX Mania's Home Track, our awesome club runs a Pro Am / King Of The Old Guys race. It's fun time with a big money prize of $1500 for the Pros and Hot Am's that make their way to the festivities.

This year's version was won by Dayton, Ohio's Favorite Fast Guy, Cyclecraft's, Jeff Upshaw. Uh......That's nothing unusual. Jeff's won this race for the last several years. Jeff's always got good competition but somehow seems to always come up with a way to win the big money.

The festivities start off with a Time Trial which was lead by Jeremy Smith, on the first lap and Jeremy held the Hot Seat until the next to last lap when Jeff turned in a lap to take the lead and ended up winning the Time Trials. Dance Factory's, Jeremy Smith took Second and Race Day Designs', Brandon McDowell took home the Third.

The Pro Am Race itself was run total points with an eight man main event and there were two full gates of Pro's and Am's to run three motos to come up with the final participants.

After the dust cleared, Upshaw laid waste to the field and took home the win.

The ladies weren't forgotten as three fast females hit the track to battle it out for 100% Payback. Moley Gosh's, Savannah Lahr checked in with the First Place finish, Ace Bike Shops, Virginia Lingham took home the Second and SAB Designs', Shelby Cobra Darling finished Third.

The day finished up with a free Hog Roast for all in attendance, with lots of food, goodies and everybody's favorite BMX goodies.
