I was pulling up my car on clapham park road in south west
London in emergency break on single yellow line due to some engine fault in my car less the 3 minute ,I did't even came out from car or pick up or drop off any one or wait , After switching off and on my car was fine .I got ticket from tfl by post , There is sign and it was restriction hour as they send me pics ,But I did't take longer the 3 minutes, can I challenge this Ticket ?please answer
The yellow line means "No waiting", not "No parking". There is no magic about 3 minutes
Can you prove how long you were stopped for? If yes then contest it as you had an engine fault light so had a problem.
Hello
You have the option to go and explain what happened, Go and do so.
Andy C
did you shut the car off? if so then probably not, if not though then you can because technically if the car is running then it was not parked.
Contest it and explain it clearly and concisely.
No - you stopped in a place where stopping was not allowed. if you appeal you will not be able to prove the reason for the stop.
